• Applicants should demonstrate determination and commitment in classroom academic achievement, extracurricular activities and community service.

• Applicants must be planning to attend (or continuing attendance) full-time at an accredited undergraduate 2 or 4 year college or university, vocational school, trade school, technical school or certificate program in the 12 months following application. Prospective and current students are welcome to apply.

• Those who have received a previous award from Benebone may reapply.

• Applicants are asked to explain their financial need.

• Open to all legal USA citizens.

• Completed Application: Submit your application via the form below.

• Transcripts: High school transcript with GPA and/or post-high school transcripts.

• Essay #1: One page detailing your career aspirations, answering the prompt, “How will you use this educational experience to better yourself and the world around you?”

• Essay #2: One page sharing how a dog has made an impact in your life or the life of someone you know.

• Two Letters of Recommendation: Download and save the template, and once complete, upload to the application form below. Online submission of recommendations is preferred, but referrals can also be emailed to scholarship@benebone.com.

• Application Deadline: February 3, 2025. Completed applications, including the two required letters of recommendation, must be submitted electronically by this date.

• Scholarship Recipients Selected: May 2025. Winners will be contacted via email in May.

• Scholarship Recipients Announced: June 2025. Winners will be announced on Benebone’s social media channels in June.

Benebone will diligently process applications within a reasonable timeframe after the application window has closed.

• Benebone reserves the right to utilize AI technology in the processing of applications.

• All winners will be required to submit an individual photo to Benebone, which will be used in future digital, print and social media marketing materials and platforms.

• The Benebone Scholarship must be applied exclusively to school tuition for the 2025 fall semester and paid directly to the school. It cannot be used for other expenses such as school supplies, housing, or summer classes. Failure to apply the scholarship within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of the award.

• The Benebone Scholarship program will accept a maximum of 500 applications. Once this limit is reached, the application process will close, even if it occurs before the official closing date. Applications received after the limit is reached will not be considered.
