Nico is a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Full of goofy antics and snuggles, he became a real-life hero during a vet visit by donating blood to save a Yorkshire Terrier’s life. His blood was the perfect match, and without hesitation, he stepped up in a life-or-death moment. When he’s not being a superhero, Nico brings joy to his family and furry siblings with his playful spirit and big heart.

Scotty, a black Labrador/Golden Retriever cross, is a true hero! Alongside her handler Danielle, she works with Paws for Purple Hearts, providing canine-assisted therapy to veterans and mastering over 100 service commands. Her intelligence won us over, making her the perfect pup to earn the first-ever Benebone Dog of the Year crown!
