safety guide

Benebone’s natural rubber toys bring the bounce to playtime, but we need to set some ground rules. Check out these tips to ensure your pup gets the most fun out of their toy while staying safe.

Play, but Don’t Eat

We all know rubber isn’t edible, but sometimes dogs get so excited they forget. If they’re really enthusiastic, over time, they could break down the material. Keep an eye out for wear and replace when things start getting gnarly. Have more questions? Send us a photo of your rubber toy, and we’ll be happy to weigh in!

One Size Does Not Fit All

While a one-size-fits-all approach may work well for rain ponchos at SeaWorld, it may not be the best option for dog toys. Use good old-fashioned common sense to make sure Benebone is right for your dog. Regardless of your dog’s size, be extra cautious if they have strong jaws. But if you want some guidance, on each product listing and Benebone label, we provide guidelines to help you choose the right toy for your dog. These guidelines are for rough reference only.

Don’t Get Stuck

Dog toys with holes and irregular shapes have the possibility of getting stuck on a dog’s jaw or other parts of its body. It’s unlikely, but so is getting your tongue stuck on a flagpole. Be vigilant.

Supervised Play

Leaving your dog alone all day with just about anything is not such an awesome idea. Monitoring your dog is essential to their safety.

Monitor and Replace

Watch for wear and replace Benebones when needed to ensure that the product remains whole and intact. For questions regarding product wear, reach out to us via the contact form on our website, and we’ll be glad to assist.

Keep Them Clean

Who wants to wash this stuff by hand? Pop it in the dishwasher!

For Dogs Only

We love kids and cats, but Benebones are for dogs only.
